After a pretty hefty and exciting unveiling ten months ago by Xbox, Dungeons of Hinterberg has been a quietly exciting game for players holding out for it. After all, it’s a miracle ot get a snowboarding game these days, but for that to be only a smaller component in a larger action-adventure game with a gorgeous cel-shaded art style is a treat in and of itself.

And now, dedicated fans don’t need to wonder when to expect it for much longer, as a new trailer at ID@Xbox has bared all and revealed when we can prepare to take on the adventures lying in wait at Hinterberg ourselves.

Dungeons of Hinterberg gets new trailer, reveals release date

Thanks to ID@Xbox we’ve had a new look at Dungeons of Hinterberg, and we’ve finally learned when we can actually play the gorgeous adventuring romp.

The new reveal has announced that the game is gearing up for a launch on Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass and Steam on July 18, only a few short months away, and it has offered a brand new peek into the action of the game, featuring ziplines and landscape puzzles a-plenty.

The Curve Games team has also revealed that the game will be getting a playtest this May between the dates of the 9th and 16th. If you want to get involved and be among the first to offer your thoughts on the game as it stands, you can do so by applying to join in on the company’s Steam page.

The game looks incredibly compelling and seems to smash together inspirations from all over the gaming industry, so this could be a game that piques the interest of a lot of fans. We’ll take any kind of snowboarding at any point anyway, so we’re a very easy sell.
