Much-loved streamer and Fortnite legend Benjamin "DrLupo" Lupo has just started his first stream on YouTube after signing an exclusivity deal with the platform.

Who Else Is Joining DrLupo For His First YouTube Stream?

He's brought along two friends for the ride, Timothy "TimTheTatman" Betar, and Jack "CouRage" Dunlop, to play a game of Apex Legends. This comes after he revealed an exciting glimpse into his studio after signing the deal with YouTube Gaming.

This move echoes other streamers, such as his gaming buddy CouRage, and Rachell "Valkyrae" Hofstetter, to move from Twitch to YouTube.

Where Can I See DrLupo's First YouTube Stream?

The stream is currently happening (August 8, 2021), however there is sure to be plenty more streams to catch up on in the coming weeks/months/potentially years.

Prior to the stream, Lupo shared the quick clip on his Twitter feed, as well as releasing a live-streaming announcement on his YouTube page. Fans have showered with Lupo with support and well wishes on both platforms: "Love seeing these moves, congrats on the massive deal!",  “Congrats, Lupo!! You deserve this🙌” and, “WOAH LOOK THAT'S YOUR NAME”.

Although he already has an impressive 1.75 million subscribers on YouTube, the big move means Lupo is leaving his huge Twitch audience. This includes the 4.5 million followers that he has gained since publishing his first video on the platform six years ago. His most recent Twitch video has even had more than 437,000 views in only four days.

However, Twitch released a statement via Twitter saying that they wished him: "Nothing but the best in everything that comes next".

It's nice to see that there's no hard feelings from Twitch, despite the fact DrLupo will be taking his talent as well as his millions of followers with him to YouTube. The only real question now is: who will be the next big streamer to jump platforms? Only time will tell.
