The Last of Us may seem like it's had a perfect narrative conclusion, but that isn't enough for fans. They want more.

Of course, we'd never shrug at a new peek into Ellie's story - the first two games are narrative masterpieces that serve as the very best example of the storytelling prowess of the interactive medium.

Those at Naughty Dog are true masters of their craft, and it's hard to deny. As a result, players want more from The Last of Us and the mythical whispers of The Last of Us Part 3

Leaker Claims That The Last Of Us Part 3 Is In Production

One reputable leaker has claimed that a new instalment in The Last of Us series is in the works with Neil Druckmann at the helm, alongside their production of Factions.

Half-joking about not receiving screeners for the upcoming The Last of Us TV series starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay, leaker ViewerAnon reveals on Twitter that "I'm not watching anything, so... Dr. Uckmann's next game is THE LAST OF US PART III which is currently in production at Naughty Dog."

Whether you entirely believe it or not, there's no concrete evidence right now. The direction of the series after Part 2 is something that has long been debated by fans, so it's interesting to see what the Naughty Dog team can turn around.

AI Has Written The Story For The Last Of Us Part III

Fans are clearly so excited by the prospect of a new addition to The Last of Us legacy, they're tasking AI with doing the heavy lifting to create the story entirely.

One Reddit user has shared the result of this fascination, with one AI churning out the full plot of a potential Part 3 in the series.

The story might be a little clunky and on-the-nose, but at the very least, it does wonders to prove that fans are ready for a new instalment in Ellie and Abby's story.

We remain cautious about The Last of Us Part 3, but if there's anyone that can pull off such a feat, it's Naughty Dog with Druckmann at the helm.
