EVO 2023 kicked off on 4 August with fans looking forward to announcements about fighting games like Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1, and Tekken 8.

The Tekken 8 booth gave players a chance to find out more about the game, and some pictures reportedly taken at the convention seem to show the upcoming games roster.

Pictures taken at EVO seem to show the Tekken 8 lineup

Pictures, which were reportedly taken at the Tekken 8 booth, show pictures of the roster as well as a character called Steve.

Some fans seem excited at the people on the list while others were disappointed that characters like Anna were not pictured.

Other people believed the image was fake, saying that they thought it could be AI-generated or doctored in some way.

Tekken 8's roster was seemingly leaked last month

The line up shown in the EVO photographs seem to correspond with leaks which were found at the end of July.

Tekken Community Discords used Cheat Engine on the recently released Tekken 8 Closed Network Test and found a list of names which seemed to be the upcoming roster. u/Trem45 took to r/GamingLeaksAndRumours to share what had been found.

They wrote: "These were found in the game files as unplayable characters through Cheat Engine The list includes a few unannounced characters, those being Shaheen, Raven, Zafina, Yoshimitsu, Steve and Alisa.

"Keep in mind that this is very unlikely to be the full roster as there's no series staples like Kuma which have been in every game thus far and the fact that the devs have already stated that the base roster will be way bigger than Tekken 7 and current competition, meaning these are probably only the characters that were tested in this build."

The accuracy of the leak is up for debate, with some people thinking the pictures are AI-generated. There may be a while to wait to find out exactly how true they are, as there is still no official release date for the game.
