It's no secret that esports players at the top of their respective games make a fortune. Whether that's solely from multi-million pound event earnings, salaries from their organisations, or promotions through sponsors, the cash in esports is huge - and vastly increasing.

However, if you don't have the time or raw skill to become the next Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, ESL have found another way for you to rack up some notes of your own.

The Tournament Organiser, best known for its several events in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) have now released an esports-based monopoly board, and it's awesome.

ESL Monopoly board

The monopoly board comes with various esports events over the years coming in place of the bog-standard Old Kent Road to Mayfair.

The thimble, cat, dog, and the rest of the board pieces are also traded of the likes of a controller and keyboard, whilst free parking and jail remains.

Many business models are available in a quest to conquer the world of gaming. Whether you want to throw your eggs in an Astralis-esque bag and go heavy on the events, or rack up a full set of merch lines, there's room for everyone to try to find the winning recipe.

How Much is ESL Monopoly?

Suitable for up to six players, the ESL monopoly is being sold at the rather steep price of £44.99.

The board also comes with two sides, one in English and one in German. ESL jokes that this means you can continue to play "even if someone flips it in rage."

Whilst the price is rather sizable, the idea is cool, and could be the perfect ice-breaker for us socially awkward online folk, when the coronavirus pandemic opens up face-to-face contact again.
