Ludwig and Dr Disrespect are the two giants of the streaming world. So, of course, it's no surprise that there's a little bit of rivalry between the two. Well, now we could be heading for a showdown between the two which reveal the "better gamer".

Ludwig "Ludwig" Ahren has exploded onto the YouTube scene with a whole host of creative content in his cushy new job as a YouTuber. Okay, things have got off to a bumpy start for the streamer, what with him being suspended from the platform three times in one week. Yet, that hasn't stopped Ludwig from keeping his fans entertained with creative content and the promise of even more exciting things to come.

However, since announcing his move from Twitch to YouTube, Ludwig has been a hot topic in the news. In doing so, he has often been the topic of discussion from his fellow streamers, including Herschel "Guy" Beahm IV, A.K.A. Dr Disrespect. As a response, Ludwig has challenged the Call Of Duty: Warzone enthusiast to a 1v1 match with a mere $1 million at stake.

Why Did Ludwig Issue The Challenge?

It's rare to find a gaming streamer who doesn't have at least one friendly rivalry going on with a peer. For Ludwig, it's Dr Disrespect- the Warzone loving, curly-haired streamer with one hell of an upper lip rug. Dr Disrespect appeared to kick off the friendly feud once again during a recent stream on December 6. Dr Disrespect was answering questions from fans in his chat, and it wasn't long before Ludwig's name popped up. In fact, it was Ludwig's name which sent the Doc into hysterics.

In the clip, Dr Disrespect began to laugh and poke fun at how to pronounce his peer's name: "How do you say his name? Lud-widge? He thought he was going to win streamer of the year. His name? Luggage… luggage? I don’t know, we'll talk about it later, Alex, Jesus." He then quickly moved on to thanking a fan for their donation and disregarding any ideas of giving Battlefield 2042 a second chance. However, Ludwig wasn't prepared to let just the Doc's comments slide by.

How Did Ludwig Respond To Dr Disrespect's Comments?

It wasn't long before Dr Disrespect's comments made their way to Ludwig, and he responded in the most epic way possible, by challenging his rival to a 1v1 via Twitter. The prize? Oh, just $1 million. He even made a reference to the Doc taking the mick out of his name by saying the showdown can be "luggage vs the doc". However, what Ludwig didn't consider before throwing his glove on the ground was that the new Warzone Pacific map is dropping on December 8 and Dr Disrespect just so happens to be a complete beast when it comes to the COD game. So, basically, Ludwig is f*cked.

According to Dexerto, after being reminded of the map's upcoming release, Ludwig immediately tried to backtrack from the challenge. During a stream, Ludwig said: "Oh, sh*t, can I delete? For the love of god… I don’t want to embarrass myself." He also clarified that he didn't necessarily mean that $1 million is at stake, claiming that "when Doc says there’s like 30 million in his arena, but really there’s only 30k watching."

He further explained: "Saying $1m to the Doc means like $1k instead, by his metrics. And he won’t even reply. Everybody relax"! As of writing, Ludwig is right, as Dr Disrespect is yet to respond to the challenge. Although, if the Doc does decide to make his metrics a little more accurate and decides to rise to the challenge, Ludwig could be having to write a hefty cheque very soon.
