As Modern Warfare 3 prepares to take us on a flight down memory lane, gliding through the air back to 2009 when Lucozade tasted much sweeter and life's problems were the price of Freddo inflating by 5p, Call of Duty is pulling out all the stops.

All 16 maps from the iconic Modern Warfare 2 will be reimagined and spruced up as the core bulk of MW3's battlegrounds, reawakening childhoods and habits that didn't die easy.

To celebrate the launch of these legendary playgrounds and Modern Warfare 3 in full, Call of Duty is making an in-real-life version of Terminal and inviting fans down to participate in a series of tasks.

Modern Warfare 3's launch is one of the most highly-anticipated games in CoD history, as the developers look to take what they had in MW2 and give the community features that they have been calling for. It's all in a bid to put the series back firmly on the pedestal it has been slipping off of.

To celebrate the launch in the UK, Call of Duty is teaming up with PlayStation and content creators Jon "MrDalekJD" Hutchinson, "Spratt", and "Sunpi" to host a real-life event in London. Here, fans will be invited down to complete tasks based on the three branches of the Modern Warfare 3 tree: Zombies, Campaign, and Multiplayer.

Each content creator will be dropping challenges on their social media pages, where ten winners will be picked to attend the event (with a plus one). Guests will get a preview of Modern Warfare 3, attend live music from special guests, and enjoy a wealth of surprises.

Most interestingly, this party won't just be your bog standard get-together. Call of Duty is putting on quite a spread, as it will turn the unnamed location (in the heart of London) into a recreation of Terminal, the iconic airport map first released in 2009.

Guests will be "transported through PlayStation Airlines check-in, straight through to security and will then be greeted by a buzzing Terminal experience," which will be littered with fun quips and tokens to the series' historic landmark.

The event's venue will be confirmed at a later date, but takes place on November 9. That means it's just a day before the game's full release.

So, keep your eyes peeled on the good old internet, as there will be thirty winners all travelling to this exclusive event, and you could be one.
