The Boston Uprising have announced the signing of Seung-hyun "Lori" Kim as their new Head Coach. Former Head Coach Vytis "Mineral" Lasaitis will be moving to a management position.

On his Twitter, Lori stated that he looks to "change everything from now Boston", appearing to imply that he will take the reigns towards a new strategy. After a breakout first season in which the team vastly overperformed expectations, the departure of former head coach Dae-hee "Crusty" Park to the Shock and the trading of several key players saw a rapid decline in the Uprising's performance over the next two seasons, ending in 19th and 20th place in season 2 and 3 respectively.

In his career, Lori has coached in many different regions such as North America for Bermuda and Noble, in Europe with a mixed roster for Eternal Academy, and lately for World Star Gaming (WSG) Phoenix in South Korean Contenders. Most recently, WGS Phoenix has reached the playoff stage of Overwatch Contenders Korea, only losing one close match in their group against Talon Esports, winning against academy rosters like Seoul Dynasty's Gen.G esports and Philadelphia Fusion's T1.

Head coach during the currently on-going season 3, Mineral had previously coached the Florida Mayhem during the first two seasons until he moved to the Uprising. The specific role which he will be inhabiting in the Uprising is currently unknown.
