The Oden has become increasingly popular after being one of the best assault rifles found on the floor and in loot boxes in Warzone, with its incredible power proving a popular choice. This has led players to equipping the Oden to their loadouts, or using it in multiplayer, as it can offer a range of playstyles depending on the attachments that you choose. It is extremely effective over long ranges depending on your barrel and muzzle attachments but can almost be crafted to favour shorter ranges with a quick shoot to fire rate.

The Oden has some unique attachments and it can be confusing to craft the perfect power-punching machine, so to be able to get the most out it, here are our Call of Duty tips to the best Oden attachments in Modern Warfare Warzone.

Long-Ranged Beast.

To optimise the Odens range is one of the most effective ways of shredding with this weapon. As it is extremely powerful, reducing the recoil and increasing the range and aiming stability will allow you to shred over long distances, where it is either a two or three bullet kill. Full armour does mean it can take up to five bullets, but it also has a mean headshot multiplier, which will cause incredible damage.

  • Muzzle – Colossus Suppressor
  • Barrel – Oden Factory 810mm
  • Underbarrel – Ranger Foregrip
  • Rear Grip – Granulated Grip Tape
  • Optic – G.I Mini Reflex (Preferential)

The Colussus Suppressor is an exclusive attachment to the Oden, and although it makes the gun look ugly, it’s pretty key to the gun's success, adding a much better range and bullet velocity, whilst keeping you off the radar of enemies. The Barrels are also exclusive to the Oden, and for your long-ranged choice you should pick the longest barrel. The 810mm does take away from its movement but makes a significant difference over a long range. The Ranger Foregrip and Granulated Grip Tape reduce the recoil of the gun and improve the aiming stability, which is key for a long-ranged fully automatic.

The Jack of All Trades

The Oden can also be equipped with attachments that can allow the gun to move quickly and be effective at short ranges, although it does require good accuracy from the player. With its low fire rate, you have to be precise with the Oden at short ranges, but it can be worthwhile if you are. Swapping out some of the long-ranged features to optimise it’s aim down sight speed and again, optimising the aiming stability and movement, the Oden can be very effective at closer combat.

  • Muzzle – Colossus Suppressor
  • Barrel – Oden Factory 450mm
  • Underbarrel – Commander Foregrip
  • Rear Grip – Stippled Grip Tape
  • Optic – G.I Mini Reflex (Preferential)

Changes from the previous build in the Barrel, Underbarrel and Rear Grip departments, will allow the Oden to be much quicker at aiming whilst maintaining some serious power. The Commando Foregrip and Rubberised Grip Tape will allow for a quick aim down sight speed and sprint to fire speed which is good for close combat, although we would definitely recommend pre-aiming where possible. The Colossus suppressor could be swapped out for the Monolithic, however, it still adds a lot of balance to the range and damage where you are sacrificing it by shortening the barrel, the Colossus will help with the overall balance and accuracy of the weapon.

The Oden may not be the most versatile weapon in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but it is definitely the most powerful. With accuracy, opponents which come head to head with an Oden rarely survive. As an assault rifle, it trades out the fire rate of the M4A1 and the Grau for power and is a perfect choice for players who prefer a reserved style of play, picking players off from range.

The Best Oden Warzone Loadout.

In Warzone, you are best running the Oden in the early stages of the game and should choose Overkill over Ghost to compliment the long-ranged weapon with an SMG, like the Mp5. Here is our best Oden Loadout:
