Bangalore has been a staple pick in Apex Legends since its release, but Season 18 has truly been her time in the spotlight.

The Professional Soldier is currently the third most popular Legend in the entire game only behind Pathfinder and Octane at 8.3%.

Her combination of speed, cover for the battlefield with smokes and an immensely disruptive Ultimate make her invaluable in any squad.

However, in combination with the power of the Digital Threat scope, the devs believe she's a little too overtuned. As a result, Season 19 is bringing some nerfs for Bangalore.

Game Designer at Respawn John Larson has confirmed that Bangalore will be hit with a set of nerfs in Season 19. However, he made it clear that the "goal of these changes is not to gut Bangalore" and in his opinion, the majority of players won't even notice the adjustments.

For starters, the duration of her Double Time Passive is being reduced to give her slightly less mobility in skirmishes.

Next, the lifetime of her smokes is being reduced, in the hopes of preventing players from chaining the Tactical over and over again.

Finally, the stun from the rolling thunder is also being decreased, making her Ultimate a little less disruptive.

Will Bangalore still be strong in Season 19?

Although the changes above seem massive at a glance, they're actually all rather minor tweaks to her kit overall.

The bigger impact on her power in the meta is likely to come in the Digital Threat being removed from the crafter, and being limited to ground loot.

No matter what, having access to smokes and a massive AoE Ultimate will always make Bangalore a strong Legend. Whether she'll be top of the pecking in Season 19 though is a mystery, at least until October 31.
