Ubisoft is dishing out another bloodthirsty addition of Assassin's Creed. This time, we're tackling Norse mythology for the supersized Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Charting the Viking invasion of Britain, players pick up their weapons and beat their chests as a hardened warrior called Eivor. Similar to 2018's Assassin's Creed Odyssey, you can customise Eivor as either male or female. More than just picking a generic stock character, ACV is taking a leaf out of Fallout 4's book with the ability to change hairstyle and colour.

Even if customisation might be a relatively minor part of a game as expansive as Assassin's Creed Valhalla, being able to stand out from the crowd or make your version of Eivor a mini virtual doppelganger is sure to appeal to some. Get out a pair of scissors because it's not just Anglo-Saxon enemies getting the "chop" in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

To change your style in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, you need to have completed the "Honor Bound" mission to unlock the Fornburg region. After finishing "Honour Bound", you'll be able to raise your sails and set out on the open waters of ACV. When heading to Fornburg, simply locate the tattoo shop and step inside. Yes, they even had tattoo artists back in 873AD.

Finding the shop isn't that easy (sorry, neon hasn't been invented yet). Look for a sign that looks like it has the number eight on it. It should be east of the longhouse in case you get lost. The tattoo shops are run by a pair of NPCs called Tove and Svend, who are more than happy to give you a makeover. To get inside, ask to see Svend's tattoos, and he should let you in.

A menu will pop up that allows you to add some ink to your skin. If you select the top-right button, you'll be able to flick through different hairstyles. If your version of Eivor is male, you'll also get the added bonus of scrolling through an array of beards.

When it comes to changing the colour of Eivor's hair, you're a little more limited. Opening the menu will bring up the different designs; however, each colour of hair is fixed to that specific design. Still, if you want to switch up your colour, it's as easy as pressing a button instead of reaching for a box of hair dye.

Later in the game, Eivor will eventually make it to England and build their own settlement. One of the many shops is a tattoo parlour, which is then taken over by Tove. Similar to your adventure in Fornburg, roll on up and ask Trove to work her magic. Mix things up with your style as much as you want, and although you'll probably find a design you like, feel free to make the most of a customisable Eivor.
