Season 9: Legacy (officially named just 'Legacy') has been officially announced by Respawn Entertainment, and finally brings the lore of Titanfall to the forefront of Apex Legends.

The latest Stories From The Outlands trailer introduced us to Kairi Imahara (or Valkyrie/Valk), the daughter of Titanfall 2 antagonist pilot Viper. Viper was a member of the Apex Predators faction, lead by Kuben Blisk; who just so happens to be the founder and organiser of the Apex Games. Funny how that works out...

The eight-minute-long teaser shows us the origin of Valkyrie and her tumultuous relationship with her father (Viper), and how she came to enter the Apex Games.

Legacy is an apt name for Season 9, and as the season progresses we will surely be treated to more lore based on their relationship, and perhaps even Pilot-themed skins?

Check out Stories From The Outlands - Northstar, below.

Valkyrie's abilities have been released with the Legacy patch notes, check them out below, and get ready to take to the skies.

Passive: VTOL Jets

Use your jetpack to reposition or reach high places. You have limited fuel and cannot use weapons while flying.

Tactical: Missile Swarm

Fire a swarm of mini-rockets which damage and disorient the enemy.

Ultimate: Skyward dive

Take to the skies to reposition a long distance across the map. Your squadmates can join in.

Class: Recon

Scanning Survey Beacons reveals the next circle’s location.

As several members of the Respawn team have teased, this season is going to be popular with both Japanese players, and Titanfall fans, and it looks like that is set to be the case, when Valkyrie hits the Apex Games on May 4.
