Out of all the characters in Apex Legends, there's one that's hated more than any other within the community and that's Horizon.

Despite having a likeable personality and amazing voice acting, it's her abilities that grind the gears of a lot of Apex fans.

For them, her kit is far too overloaded and specifically her Tactical is unbelievably overpowered - as it effectively allows you to get a free Shield Battery off in the middle of a skirmish.

While Philip "ImperialHal" Dosen is convinced Season 20 will spell the end for the Gravitational Manipulator in the meta due to her Legend Upgrades, not everyone agrees. In their opinion, it's time Horizon gets hit with another major nerf

Apex Legends fans hate Horizon's "unfair" Tactical

Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user "ruhrohraggyreeheehee" decided to argue that Horizon's Tactical is "exceptionally obnoxious" as it "feels like it does too much and has too little risk for the massive impact it has."

The main point of the argument is that, unlike Wraith's invulnerability, the lift can be activated instantly and usually results in the Horizon using a Shield Battery. This reset in shields is immensely strong in a skirmish and effectively gives her a "panic button" whenever she's in trouble.

This opinion is shared by a huge portion of the thread, who just think she feels "unfair" to play against. While Respawn has nerfed her multiple times and is once again lowering her power in Season 20, players want fundamental changes to her Tactical, not just changes to its cooldown.

"Horizon is exceptionally obnoxious period, I haven’t seen a Horizon that's actually good, just Horizon's who get carried by her abilities," said one user, with another arguing "Her audio and Tactical can go to hell."

Apex Legends players suggest ways to nerf Gravity Lift

With Season 20, Respawn is once again nerfing Horizon by adding 5 extra seconds to her Tactical cooldown. However, for some players, this simply isn't fixing the issue and deeper changes need to be made to her kit.

One suggestion has been adding a wind-up to the Gravity Lift, meaning it doesn't activate instantly and has to be used ahead of time like Wraith's Tactical.

"Gravity lift should get the same treatment as Wraith, the Tactical should take a significant amount of time to activate," said one user, with another claiming "It needs a wind up like the Wraith Tac, have it open before the grav lift starts."

Whether the devs would consider such a drastic alteration is a mystery, it probably depends on how powerful she is when Legend Upgrades are released on February 13. Based on her sub-par selections, it's very possible she will take a tumble down the tier list.
