Season 17 of Apex Legends completely revamped the Firing Range to make it a better environment for players to refine their skills in the Outlands.

The overhaul introduced smarter dummies that fight back, a Gulag-inspired 1v1 pit, and of course, the new Vert Course for practising movement.

Well, after exploring every inch of the Firing Range, the community has discovered some incredible secrets that the new location has to offer. One of these easter eggs has even gone viral, as it's a direct reference to Assassin's Creed.

Assassin's Creed Easter egg found in Apex Legends

While checking out all the fresh features in the Firing Range, Twitter user HeckingGrett found a pole with a red flag blowing in the wind.

They decided to climb up the pole and perch on top to check out the view. It was at this point, they realised that their screen was zooming out and panning around the map to give them the ultimate bird's eye view.

This is a direct reference to Ubisoft's long-running Assassin’s Creed franchise and the synchronization mechanic that fans of the series will be familiar with. It's similar to a sneaky AC egg hiding in Naughty Dog's Uncharted

Easter egg confirmed by Apex Legends community manager

Respawn confirmed the Easter egg through Apex Legends Community Manager Karen Lee, who tweeted "Two games dear to my heart, Assassins please find some time to sync at our viewpoint in Apex too."

She also revealed that Gameplay Programmer at Resapwn Ian Holstead was responsible for the easter egg. It's certainly a brilliant reference to Assassin’s Creed and makes for an amazing screenshot with your favourite Legend.
