For years, Apex Legends players were begging Respawn to bring back the beloved Solos mode and give them a chance to carry matches on their own once again.

This request was ignored by the devs, who argued that Solos didn't work with the design of the Legends and balancing overall.

Out of the blue, the team changed its mind with Season 21 and delivered exactly what the community wanted. Unfortunately, the excitement has been cut short thanks to "teaming" cheaters who are ganging up in groups all across Solos.

"Teaming" Apex Legends players have taken over Solos

Taking to the Apex Legends subreddit, user AnalystShort1331 decided to vent their frustration about the new Solos mode, arguing the rampant "teaming" is ruining the experience.

After scanning a beacon in a recent Solos match, they noticed "almost everyone in the area was paired up and no gunshots going off." With multiple players paired together in buildings, it's obvious countless competitors are getting into lobbies with their friends to secure easy wins.

This compromises the experience for everybody else in the match, as it's nearly impossible to beat teams of two and three as a solo.

"It's almost as if there is a huge cheating community('s) and most games now require some form of active monitoring," argued one fan, with another claiming, "Devs somehow didn’t account for this even though it’s been a plague in ranked for the last 3 seasons."

Apex Legends community argue fans can't be "trusted" with Solos

Sorry, there has been an issue in subscribing to the newsletter.

While some anger was targeted towards the devs for not foreseeing this issue, a lot of the community blamed their fellow players. In their opinion, it comes down to trust, and it's the responsibility of the fanbase to not cheat in Solos by grouping up.

"Apex players try not to ruin a game mode challenge: impossible," joked one user, with another claiming, "Oh, so the exact same thing that ruined it last time? That sounds about right... Apex players can't be trusted with nice things."

So, the next time you hop into Solos looking for a victory, you may have to take on two or three foes to take home the crown.
