Apex Legends' Arsenal update arrives on May 9 and with it comes the new Legend Ballistic. After no new character entered the Outlands with Season 16, the community is desperate to take control of August Brinkman and start picking up victories with the old-timer in the Apex Games.

While Ballistic's full set of abilities are yet to be announced, Respawn has given us a glimpse into the background of August Brinkman and why he decided to join the roster.

New Apex Legends character Ballistic revealed

Respawn has revealed that Ballistic will be the new Legend entering the Apex Games in Season 17 with a 'Stories from the Outlands' video called 'Encore'.

In his youth, August Brinkman earned a reputation for being the youngest celebrity Thunderdome Games champion. Despite showing incredible skill with a weapon, Brinkman's selfish playstyle and poor attitude led to his career being cut short.

Now, after seeing his son attempting to join the Apex Games, Brinkman has agreed to return to the battlefield as Ballistic as long as the organisers stop his son from joining the competition.

With a second chance and plenty to prove, Ballistic will be keen to make a huge impact on the Apex Games and take down those who stand against him.

For now, his abilities have not been officially announced by the devs but as Season 17 draws closer, we can expect them to release all of them very soon.
