Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has only just been released and is the latest game to try to combine superheroes with a live service model, which makes the active player count interesting to look at. After all, a live service game lives and dies based on how many players it needs to support.

The game has received mixed reviews, which isn’t too surprising considering the rocky road to release as well as the tricky nature of the looter shooter, a genre that studios are constantly chasing and desperate to see succeed.

So, here is everything you need to know about the current player count in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League as of February 2024.

The PC player count is the easiest platform to get an accurate reading for thanks to SteamDB. According to the site, there were just under 13,000 players on Sunday, February 5 with an all-time peak of 13,459 - which honestly, isn’t great. For context, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, a JRPG that was released the day before Suicide Squad had a peak of 114,000 also on Sunday, February 5.

It certainly isn’t an easy pill to swallow for Rocksteady, but keep on reading as we dive into how things look on Xbox and PlayStation.

Using the popular website PSNProfiles we can see that only 3,246 own the game - according to the trophy list. Once again, it isn’t pretty reading and combined with the PC players are still under 20,000 active players. Even after poor previews, this is still a surprise considering the weight Rocksteady’s name carries combined with a popular IP like DC’s Suicide Squad.

Going off the first achievement in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, which players earn once Task Force X nick their traversal equipment, then Suicide Squad on Xbox has 8,222 players. Combined, the game finally gets over the 20,000 mark but that is still rather low for a game of this scale.

However, there will be some free DLC in March, introducing a new character which could attract new players into the mix. However, we will have to wait and see if that picks things up for the plucky superhero looter shooter. For now, though, Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League looks almost dead on arrival.
