Mods are widely accepted in The Sims 4 franchise as a way to add another layer of gameplay and features, this is no exception with The Sims 4 More Columns mod. The More Columns mod does what it says on the tin - it adds another column in the create-a-sim menu, meaning you can peruse more items at once.

This is a great quality-of-life feature for the game, especially if you have a lot of CC or Sims packs installed and have many items to sift through when creating a new sim.

Read on for more details on the mod, including how to install it.

Once you have The Sims 4 downloaded to your PC, the game will automatically add a mods folder to your documents. Download the mod you wish to try, then locate it in your downloads folder. Copy the file (extract if needed), then paste it to:

Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Mods

To have it arrive in your game, boot up The Sims 4, then navigate to:

Options > Game Options > Other > Enable Custom Content and Mods

This will enable the use of mods in your game. As always, be careful of the sources you get mods from as they are not Maxis supported and may negatively impact your game/PC.

You can access the mod through Weerbesu’s Patreon page. The mod is currently free, but you can show your support by subscribing to their page.

There is the option to download three, four or five columns. The more columns you have, the better your settings and resolution need to be, so keep that in mind. For most people, adding one extra column is much more user-friendly.

The mod is routinely updated to accommodate new expansions and game packs, remember to check for updates to the mod per new releases as these can affect CC and mods.
