The Sims 4 Growing Together has launched, bringing with it a host of interactive gameplay items for infants - including the baby carrier. If you're struggling to figure out the new baby carrier item in Sims 4 Growing Together, stick around and we'll tell you how.

How do you use a baby carrier?

Once you have an infant in your household you can put them in a baby carrier and take your baby with you anywhere you go in the game. To do so, you don’t need to buy a baby carrier in the catalogue, in fact, there won't be the option to do so.

Instead, click on your infant and select 'Baby Care' then select the option to 'Put (baby name) in Back Carrier). If you cannot see the option for this, press 'More Options' in the baby care menu and it should show up.

There are a number of actions you can still take whilst your infant is in the carrier. You can go jogging, change outfits, and sit down. You can converse with other Sims, but you can't lie down or cloud gaze for obvious reasons.

How to change the baby carrier

While you cannot buy variants of the carrier from the catalog, you can change its look in-game. To do this, click on your infant and select 'Baby Care'. Then select 'More Options' and 'Set Preferred Back Carrier'.

This will bring up a list of all available carrier styles and colours in the game which you can pick from as your preferred choice.

Unsurprisingly, kids cannot carry babies in a carrier, but other life stages from teens upwards can.
