The next major Pokemon TCG expansion is Temporal Forces, featuring the return of powerful ACE SPEC cards as well as the usual products like Elite Trainer Boxes and Booster Bundles.

Boasting Paradox Pokemon like Walking Wake and Iron Leaves alongside more type-shifted Tera cards, the Temporal Forces set looks like another exciting addition to the long-standing TCG. Here's everything you need to know about the new release.

Pokemon TCG Temporal Forces expansion release date

The upcoming Temporal Forces expansion is due to be released on March 22, 2024.

Before that date, collectors can look forward to the special Paldean Fates expansion which puts the spotlight on Shiny Pokemon like Mew, Mimikyu, Tinkaton, and (of course) Charizard.

It's been confirmed that there will be over 160 cards in the Temporal Forces base set, including 13 Pokemon ex cards and two type-shifted Tera Pokemon ex cards.

There will also be 22 illustration rare Pokemon cards, 10 special illustration rare Pokemon and Supporter cards, and six hyper rare gold etched cards to discover.

Only a few cards have been revealed so far, but we do know that Walking Wake, Raging Bolt, Iron Leaves, and Iron Crown will make their TCG debut, while Wugtrio and Farigiraf will get Tera ex cards.

Return of ACE SPEC cards

It was revealed during the 2023 Pokemon World Championships that ACE SPEC cards would make a return to the Pokemon TCG, and now we finally know when, as they'll be featured in the Temporal Forces expansion.

These powerful Item/Trainer cards first appeared during the Black & White era of the Pokemon TCG. In the Scarlet & Violet era, you'll only be able to have one of them in your deck, so you'll need to choose wisely!

There will be seven ACE SPEC cards to find in the Temporal Forces set, including both Trainer and Special Energy cards.
