Pokemon Legends Arceus takes players to the Sinnoh region of the past, then known as the Hisui region. It seems that over the years since the events of Pokemon Legends Arceus, some Pokemon have changed a lot. Hisui looks to introduce us to very different versions of some of our familiar favourites, as well as some brand new Pokemon. Let's take a look at what we know so far about new Pokemon and forms in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

Fair warning, there are Pokemon Legends Arceus spoilers ahead.

  • One legendary Pokemon we know to be appearing in this game in its regular form is Darkrai. Wondering how you'll be able to obtain it? Check out our Pokemon Legends Arceus Darkrai guide.

As we saw in Alola and Galar, Pokemon can have vastly different looks and abilities when they come from certain regions. In Pokemon Legends Arceus, we are getting a new batch of variants in the Hisui forms. The new forms we have seen so far are:

  • Hisuian Growlithe
  • Hisuian Arcanine
  • Hisuian Voltorb
  • Hisuian Electrode
  • Hisuian Quillfish
  • Hisuian Typhlosion (fire/ghost type)
  • Hisuian Samurott (water/dark type)
  • Hisuian Decidueye (grass/fighting type)
  • Hisuian Sneasel
  • Hisuian Lilligant
  • Hisuian Zorua
  • Hisuian Zoroark
  • Hisuian Braviary
  • Hisuian Sliggoo
  • Hisuian Goodra
  • Hisuian Avalugg

There are some really different forms and looks there. The Pokemon Legends Arceus starters all have new forms for their final evolutions. Each of these adds a secondary typing, much like the starters from recent generations have had. Pokemon Legends Arceus looks to bring a whole new look and side to Typhlosion, Samurott and Decidueye.

As well as new forms we are getting a few all-new Pokemon and evolutions for existing Pokemon. Below are the ones we know about so far:

  • Kleavor
  • Wyrdeer (evolves from Stantler)
  • Sneasler (evolves from Sneasle)
  • Ursaluna (evolves from Ursaring)
  • Basculegion (evolves from Basculin)

Kleavor has been seen in trailers as an example of a Noble Pokemon. These are new to Pokemon Legends Arceus, and seem to serve as boss battles with exceptionally tough Pokemon. Sneasler, Ursaluna, Wyrdeer and Basculegion are new evolutions. Basculegion and Wyrdeer play important roles in the game, as you will ride them to move faster or traverse bodies of water.

Here is everything new with legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Legends Arceus.

  • Enamorus (New Force of Nature)
  • Primal Palkia
  • Primal Dialga

With the recent remakes and the fact that Hisui and Sinnoh are the same place centuries apart, it makes sense that Palkia and Dialga make an appearance in Pokemon Legends Arceus. They have new looks, but we'll have to play the game to find out why. In addition, we seem to be getting a fourth Force of Nature Pokemon called Enamorus which appears to be a fairy type.

Those are all the new Pokemon coming to Pokemon Legends: Arceus that we have seen so far! Wondering how much time you'll need to sink into the game? Here's what you need to know about how long is Pokemon Legends Arceus.
