Origin Forme Dialga is a fresh addition to Pokemon GO. Veteran Trainers know how powerful this Pokemon of Myth is, so if you don't want to be a victim of its strength, you'll need to come prepared.

You can encounter this Legendary creature via Raid Battles on February 24 and February 25, 2024. With that, let's review the weaknesses of Origin Forme Dialga and the best counters for the game's newest Pokemon.

Origin Forme Dialga weaknesses

As a Steel/Dragon-type Pokemon, Origin Forme Dialga is weak to Fighting and Ground-type attacks.

On the other hand, Origin Forme Dialga is resistant to Poison, Grass, Water, Steel, Rock, Psychic, Normal, Flying, Electric, and Bug-type attacks. Avoid using those where possible!

Origin Forme Dialga is a monstrous Pokemon thanks to its impressive stats and typing. But if you craft your Party to include Pokemon with potent Fighting and Ground-type moves, Origin Forme Dialga is beatable!

Can Origin Forme Dialga be Shiny in Pokemon GO?

Even though Origin Forme Dialga is brand-new in Pokemon GO, it can be Shiny!

Cross your fingers and participate in 5-Star Raids featuring Origin Forme Dialga for a chance at a Shiny, and select the Diamond Version of Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Global for a chance to encounter one that knows the move Roar of Time.

Of all the Pokemon in Pokemon GO, Origin Forme Dialga is as splashable as it gets, able to hold its own in most matchups and fit into any Party. There really aren't many Pokemon that can one-up this beast. Nevertheless, even this Legendary has its weaknesses and counters.

Origin Forme Dialga is particularly dominant in the Master League, but you can also use it in the Ultra League. Unfortunately, Origin Forme Dialga's CP is too high for the Great League.
