Is the Eggs-pedition Access ticket worth it in Pokemon GO?
The Eggs-pedition Access ticket has arrived in Pokemon GO, offering bonuses like double Gift storage and a single-use Incubator each day for a price.
Pokemon GO is no stranger to paid-for tickets, but the new Eggs-pedition Access ticket has got Trainers wondering whether it's worth spending the money on it.
Offering up rewards like Incubators and bonuses including triple XP and double Gift storage, there's quite a lot included with the Eggs-pedition Access ticket. But at $5 (or £4.99) a pop, it's worth considering whether or not you're going to get enough mileage out of it.
What's included with the Eggs-pedition Access ticket?
The main reason to purchase this ticket is that it gives you one Single-Use Incubator each day when you spin a PokeStop. For Trainers who hatch a lot of Eggs or want a specific Egg-only Pokemon like Salandit, this will likely be worth the cost of entry alone.
You'll also get triple XP for your first catch of the day and your first PokeStop spin of the day, which is a decent bonus for Trainers looking to level up. Finally, you'll be able to hold up to 40 Gifts, open up to 50 Gifts per day, and send up to 150 Gifts per day.
Alongside these bonuses, you'll get access to Timed Research that will reward 30000 XP, 30000 Stardust, and a Gible encounter if you manage to complete all of the tasks before the ticket expires on December 31, 2023, at 8PM local time.
Is the Eggs-pedition Access ticket worth it?
If you purchase the Eggs-pedition Access ticket at the very start of December and you know you're going to play Pokemon GO every day throughout the month, then it's probably worth buying the ticket. The Incubators alone are a good deal, with the other bonuses providing a nice extra incentive.
However, it's worth pointing out that many of the bonuses included with this ticket were previously provided for free. The most obvious example is the double Gift storage, which was a standard bonus for all players during the previous Adventures Abound season.
Daily Single-Use Incubators were also provided for free during the Winter Holiday 2021 event. For this reason, quite a few Trainers have committed to not purchasing this ticket based on principle alone.
Ultimately, whether this ticket is worth it comes down to your personal playstyle. If you already play Pokemon GO every day and hatch Eggs regularly, then go for it! But if you know buying the ticket will make you feel like you have to play every day, even when you don't want to, it might be best to avoid it.
That's everything you need to know about the Eggs-pedition Access ticket. Hopefully, we've helped you make a decision! While you're here, check out our Pokemon homepage for more guides like the Spotlight Hour schedule and current Raid Bosses.
