Trainers can take to the skies during the Pokemon GO Air Adventures event, which introduces Mega Latios and Mega Latias to the game, offers some new Research, and more! This event features Pokemon associated with flying and the sky, and it offers a new opportunity to catch Flying Pikachu. For all the details, read on.

Another big event this month is Community Day! Check out our guide to Alolan Geodude's Community Day in Pokemon GO.

Pokemon GO Air Adventures: Mega Latios, Mega Latias & Raids

Last, but certainly not least, is arguably the most exciting feature of the event. During the Pokemon GO Air Adventures event, Mega Latios and Mega Latias will be in Raids.

These Raids are the most difficult yet, being Tier 6. You'll need some good Pokemon and several other Trainers to take down these two Mega Legendaries.

Fortunately, it's worth it for more than just the Pokedex entries. Mega Latios is a top dog in the game's meta, and both will have special moves exclusive to this event.

Latios caught during this event will know the charged move Luster Purge. Latias caught during this event will know the charged move Mist Ball.

Joining Mega Latios and Mega Latias are a few Pokemon in Tier 3 Raids:

  • Charizard
  • Togekiss
  • Lapras

Strangely, it seems that there are no Tier 1 Raids occurring during this event.
