With Season 5 of Overwatch 2 commencing soon, players are eagerly awaiting the new story-based content that has been teased since Overwatch 2's launch.

However, it looks like players will have access to much more with the introduction of the Hero Starter Pack revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase. Here, we’re going to be breaking down everything we know so far about the Hero Starter Pack coming to the game, such as release date, content, and how to claim it – so read on.

How to claim the Hero Starter Pack

To get access to the Overwatch 2 Hero Starter Pack, players with Xbox Game Pass will be able to unlock every new hero by subscribing to the Ultimate Tier.

Hero Starter Pack release date

The Overwatch 2 Hero Starter Pack is set to release on August 10, 2023.

It looks as if this Starter Pack is going to release along with the new story content that has been brewing for quite some time, as the Heroes finally take on the mysterious Null Sector.

What is featured in the Overwatch 2 Hero Starter Pack?

In this Starter Pack, players will have immediate access to the latest heroes introduced to Overwatch 2, including Sojourn, Kiriko, Junker Queen, Ramattra and Lifeweaver. They will also have access to future expansions that are added to the game as well.

Additionally, players will be able to play through the new set of story missions that were revealed in the Xbox Games Showcase.

Overwatch 2’s Invasion Update, is set to be the game’s largest to date, introducing PvE story elements into the co-op environment and new game modes such as Flashpoint, Hero Mastery and the Firing Range.
