Crossovers have been the big thing in multiplayer games for the past few years, and Overwatch 2 is set to have one of its most high-profile collabs yet in Season 9 with the iconic Cowboy Bebop.

The launch is approaching soon, as players will be able to grab a bunch of Cowboy Bebop-themed cosmetics for their favourite OW Heroes. If you need to learn more about the upcoming crossover and what it means for the game, read on below.

When does Overwatch 2's Cowboy Bebop crossover launch?

According to Blizzard, the Cowboy Bebop crossover will release on March 12, 2024, for all available platforms.

There's no news yet on how long the event will last, but I expect it will be a few weeks at least, like previous crossover tie-ins.

What are the Cowboy Bebop skins?

The gameplay trailer confirmed all five skins for the Cowboy Bepop crossover event:

  • Ed Sombra
  • Ein Wreckingball
  • Faye Valentine Ashe
  • Jet Black Mauga
  • Spike Spiegel Cassidy

The Ein Wreckinball skin is confirmed to be free, letting players earn it by completing challenges and playing games as part of the event.

The rest of the skins are premium, meaning you'll have to part with some cash to get them.

What other cosmetics will be available?

In addition to the confirmed skins, we know the event will also feature emotes, highlight intros, and more, however, we don't have many specifics yet.

The press release confirmed we'd find out more about the cosmetics on March 11, but this was just a reveal of all the skins. As for the rest of the cosmetics, we won't know until it launches on March 12.
