All classes in Lords of the Fallen from Condemned to Hallowed Knight

There are plenty of different classes to choose from in Lords of the Fallen, offering something for everyone, regardless of whether you're looking to build a more strength-based character or one with a magic focus. Not only will we go over all of the classes on offer, but also the best class for newcomers to the genre. 

Lords of the Fallen features a vast array of choices when making a character that suits you, ranging from the immense amount of weapons on offer to the different classes that are available for you to try out.

So, if you're looking for a rundown of which class types you can play before getting into the game, or what the best class is to start with, here's a breakdown of all the available ones in Lords of the Fallen.

How many classes are there in Lords of the Fallen?

In total, there are 13 classes you can start within Lords of the Fallen, with one of them only being available if you purchased the Deluxe Edition of the game: the Dark Crusader, the poster boy of the game.

If you have the Standard Edition of Lords of the Fallen, however, fret not, as this class can also be unlocked later in the game.

Three other classes are also unlocked after you have already completed the game, we have not included them in the list below for the sake of spoilers - but we have included them at the very bottom for anyone who has finished the game.

Blackfeather Ranger

If you want to play as a ranged fighter in Lords of the Fallen, the Blackfeather Ranger is the class for you. Equipped with an Axe so that you can fight in melee range should you choose to, they also have Oak Arrows and Poison Arrows that you can utilise to do damage to enemies.

This class has the ability to be incredibly powerful, as you can target enemies from a distance, as well as bosses that you may not be able to reach usually. For this class, agility will be your primary focus, as well as putting additional points into vitality if you need more HP.

Condemned

The Condemned class is somewhat similar to the Wretch from Elden Ring. You start with the barebones, as you'll be fighting with a broken waste bucket for a melee weapon, and throwing rocks at your disposal, should you want to throw them at enemies. 

This class allows the most versatility as you can level into whatever you want, as the class won’t have points in any unnecessary stats.

Dark Crusader

The Dark Crusader is a very powerful class that starts with Radiant powers, a Greatsword and a Rosary Catalyst. This class can charge enemies with ease, staggering them and doing hefty damage. 

You can choose to level up strength so that you can do stronger attacks, as well as radiance to get access to stronger spells. 

Exiled Stalker

For those on the hunt for additional challenges in Lords of the Fallen, the Exiled Stalker is an advanced class that wields twin daggers. Not only can they use daggers, but they can apply poison to their weapons to do poison damage to their enemies. However, due to their weapon style, they don’t do a lot of posture damage, so fights can be dicey from time to time.

Levelling up vitality early on is always a good idea for survivability, as well as agility for more damage when you strike. Endurance is also a good stat to focus on, as it will give you the stamina you need to dive into chain-attacking enemies.

Hallowed Knight

If you want the classic knight class, you'll want to roll the Hallowed Knight. Equipped with a Sword and Shield, they also have Grenades that they can utilise alongside a heal over-time consumable. 

Levelling vitality and endurance is a great idea for this class, as you want them to be tanky and have a lot of health so that they can exchange hits with enemies. If you don’t want to go into strength, you can also use agility and use halberds and spears, or radiance if you want to be a spellcaster. The choice is yours!

Mournstead Infantry

The Mournstead Infantry class has long-range on their weapon, allowing them to poke from afar. They don’t have the best starting damage admittedly, but two-handing the spear does allow for better stances and better attacks. 

They also have the ability to use Throwing Javelins, if you want to do some damage to enemies with ranged abilities. Depending on what kind of damage you want, you can choose agility for spears or strength for halberds, depending on how hefty you want your attacks to be. 

Orian Preacher

The Orian Preacher class wields a Hammer that can deal some pretty brutal attacks in Lords of the Fallen, as this weapon is perfect for breaking the posture of their enemies - with the added bonus of dealing significant damage. They also have the ability to use magic to heal themselves, which can be incredibly useful in a pinch. 

Radiance is a priority for this class, as it will give you access to better heals and magic spells. It also increases your mana if you upgrade this stat. For your secondary stats, you can go into strength in order to deal more damage to enemies with your Hammer. 

Partisan

If you pick the Partisan class, you'll be starting out your Lords of the Fallen journey with a Flail and a Crossbow. This class has powerful single-target attacks compared to cleave-type damage from other classes and is designed to be an all-in class - especially since they have Unripe Berries that buff stamina regen. 

If you want more damage with your Flail, you want to level agility, and endurance so that you can keep swinging the weapon around brutally. 

Pyric Cultist

If you like the idea of doing damage with fire spells, this is the class for you, as you'll find yourself equipped with a Polearm and a Rhogar Catalyst so that you can set enemies on fire with your Infernal Orb spell. 

Infernal is the most important stat to level up, as well as mana to make sure that you have enough to commit to your spells. Alternatively, you can fight with strength weapons that you get from the Rhogar if you should choose to. 

Udirangr Warwolf

Finally, we have the Udirangr Warwolf, which is a class that uses very strong melee attacks that can come off as clunky at the start of the game - but they are fast on their feet otherwise. They can also use Fire Salts to imbue their weapon with fire and deal extra damage to enemies who are susceptible

You will want to upgrade strength in order to do more damage, as well as vitality for that extra bit of survivability.

What is the best starting class in Lords of the Fallen?

If you're just starting out in Lords of the Fallen for the first time, I think it's best you start with a nice all-round class. Our pick would be the Partisan class or the Hallowed Knight. Both of these come with a shield equipped so you can block the tougher enemies, but the Partisan favours agility while the Knight favours strength. 

It is definitely best to avoid the magic classes if it is your first time playing a Soulslike game such as this. Magic can be quite restrictive in Lords of the Fallen - even if it offers some good-range attacks.

Hidden classes & how to unlock them

There are three hidden classes in Lords of the Fallen that can be unlocked once you finish the game. You can also unlock the Dark Crusader by completing Isaacs quest line - if you didn't order the Deluxe Edition. 

You will earn each of the classes depending on which ending you opt to go for. The classes are as they appear below with which ending you need to complete to earn them: 

• Lord: Achieved by completing the Inferno ending 
• Putrid Child: Achieved by completing the Umbral ending 
• Radiant Purifier: You will get this class by completing the Radiance ending
