  • Malachite can be obtained in the Frostlands biome in LEGO Fortnite, but you'll need a strong pickaxe to mine it
  • Malachite can be used to create some of the strongest charms in the game

LEGO Fortnite is a pretty deep survival game with plenty of resources and crafting materials to gather, and Malachite is one of the rarest resources - which inevitably means finding it requires a bit of work.

Malachite can be used to create some of the most useful items in the game, from useful charms to expanding your village. Here's everything you need to know to get your hands on this precious resource.

Where to find Malachite

Malachite is found in the Frostlands biome, and specifically on large ice formations. The Frostlands are quite easy to find, as usually you only need to get to a high point and look around for the snow.

Once you enter the Frostlands, you'll need to find large ice shelves around mountains, with dark green deposits on them (as shown in the image below) - those are Malachite ore. Finding them is only half the battle, though, as getting to the ore and harvesting it is the real challenge.

How to get Malachite

First, you need to be prepared to enter the Frostlands, and then, you'll need to grab yourself a powerful pickaxe to mine the Malachite. Carrying a torch will stave off the cold while walking around the biome, but you will need to stay warm when climbing higher up. Spicy Peppers and Spicy Burgers can increase your cold resistance, and bringing a Hot-Headed Charm will also work.

These cold-resistance items will get you to the Malachite unharmed, but then you will need to harvest the ore. To do so, you will need an Epic Pickaxe.

If you haven't upgraded to one yet, to craft an Epic Pickaxe, you will need:

Resource Amount
Frostpine Rods 5
Obsidian Slabs 8

You'll also need a Level 4 Crafting Bench to make it on. With your Epic Pickaxe in hand and the right food and charms to resist the cold, you're ready to track down some Malachite in the Frostlands and harvest the ore.

Some of the charms that Malachite can be used to create are:
