Helldivers 2 has made the transition from a top-down shooter to a 3rd person shooter, so knowing how to emote is all the more important now that you can see your character.

Emoting can be a great way to communicate with your teammates, which you’re going to need to do to succeed in the game. There are few things as satisfying as giving your pal a little clap after they’ve taken down a Charger - although I normally use these as sarcastically as possible for added comedic effect.

Keep reading for everything you need to know about emoting in Helldivers 2, including how to earn more and how to equip them before diving into a mission.

You can unlock new emotes in Helldivers 2 as part of the Warbond pass (the battle pass for this game). These range from being able to clap to rock, paper, scissors and much more. To unlock them, you will need to spend the Medals earned through missions.

That is all you need to know about emotes in Helldivers 2. If you’re looking for more guides check out our Helldivers homepage where we have already covered how to earn Super Credits, how to rename your ship and how well the game runs on Steam Deck
