My geography skills aren't always up to scratch, and if you're the same, having the Globle answer there and waiting is a godsend when you're left tongue-tied each day.

Similar to other planet-based word games like Worldle, Globle gives you the whole planet to play with, letting you visualise your guesses in-game in a way that you wouldn't typically encounter. It's definitely become part of my daily routine, and is one of the best games like Wordle you can play - but I'd be lying if I said that I got the solution seamlessly all of the time!

Hints for today's game

While you are given a nudge based on the colour of your guessed countries, it can still be really tricky to narrow down how far you are away from the correct guess. These hints should give you a bit more of an idea though without spoiling it completely:

  • The country is in Africa
  • Starts with the letter 'C'
  • The country's official language is French.

Of course, with roughly 195 countries to choose from, that can still leave you guessing with no lightbulb moment in sight.

SPOILER ALERT: This is your last chance to prevent today's answer being spoiled to you!

Here's today's Globle answer

Sometimes you'll just be left with no roads (or, uh, countries) to go down and are left at a bit of a dead end. Whether it be a small country you've never even heard of or an obvious answer that you just can't think of, we've certainly all been there.

That's why I'm here to save the day with the answer for today's Globle game on April 27th, 2024:

  • Republic of the Congo - Known as Congo in the game.

Today's answer certainly won't be the last tricky one you'll encounter though, so you can return back here to have it all revealed as I'll have the new country listed here every single day.

When does the game reset?

A new country will be selected at midnight in your local time zone, giving you a fresh challenge to undertake every single day.

If that's still not enough, you can also take part in their daily bonus game, which has you guessing capital cities instead of the countries themselves. This is, as you can imagine, quite a bit more challenging - but if you're up for the test and consider yourself a geography connoisseur, then you should definitely try it out.

How to play Globle

As already mentioned, Globle presents you with the world at the start of every new day, but your goal is to figure out which country is today's selection in the lowest number of guesses.

There's no limit to how many times you can guess, but you do have an average score that you'll want to keep as low as possible. Each incorrect country you guess will turn into a colour indicating how close it is geographically to the answer - with red being the closest and white being the furthest away.

Unlike something like Worldle, you'll have an actual globe to track your guesses on, which can actually make things easier to visualise!
