Challenges have become a critical part of the Fortnite experience. Challenges offer players a creative and interesting way to earn bundles of XP. Completing challenges is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass and unlocking exclusive skins like Lara Croft and Raven from Teen Titans.

Week 8’s challenges focus largely around Chapter 2 - Season 6’s Guardian Towers and the classic rivalry between Durrr Burger and Pizza Pit.

Each Week 8 challenge grants a sizable 24,000 XP. Completing all seven Week 8 challenges will grant players a whopping 168,000 XP. With just one month to go in Chapter 2 - Season 6, every ounce of XP is crucial. Players need to act fast if they aim to collect all of the Primal season’s exclusive cosmetics.

Behind a week or two on challenges? Don’t worry — we have you covered. Check out our Week 7 or Week 6 Challenge Guide if you need help completing any challenges from previous weeks.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 8 challenge and the best course of action for completing them.

Collect research books from Holly Hedges and Pleasant Park (3) - 24,000 XP

There are eight research books total, four at Holly Hedges and four at Pleasant Park.

All eight research books can be found in the various buildings scattered around these two locations. Furthermore, all of the books are placed on the first floor, and all but one can be found next to a bookshelf.

Players should head to Holly Hedges or Pleasant Park and loot up in the many buildings at these points of interest (POIs). While you’re there, keep an eye out for bookshelves on the first floor. The research book will be on the ground with a green cover.

Collect just three of these books to complete Week 8’s first challenge.

Use launcher from Guardian Towers (3) - 24,000 XP

Guardian Towers are a new feature of Chapter 2 - Season 6. These towers are guarded by Spire Guardians. At the top of each tower is a lift that will launch users across the map.

Looking at the map, there is a Guardian Tower located at each tip where the primal terrain meets the general grassy territory.

There are six Guardian Towers in total, each carrying a special name. More specifically, we have:

  • Guardian of the Sea
  • Guardian of the Fields
  • Guardian of the Mountain
  • Guardian of the Lake
  • Guardian of the Woods
  • Guardian of the Bay

Climb three of these towers and launch off the top to complete this challenge.

Open chests at The Spire or Guardian Towers (2) - 24,000 XP

While you’re visiting the Guardian Towers, open a couple of chests to kill two birds with one stone.

Along with the launcher at the top, each Guardian Tower typically has a chest or two at the peak. Loot two chests for another easy 24,000 XP.

Damage Opponent within ten seconds of landing (1) - 24,000 XP

This is a perfect challenge for the Team Rumble playlist. Players must deal damage to an opponent shortly after landing.

In Team Rumble, players spawn in with a redeployable glider. This makes completing this challenge a breeze. Leap off of any tall building or hill and glide down toward the first enemy you see. After that, all you’ll need to do is land a single shot on the opponent. Inflicting just one droplet of damage will complete this challenge.

Dance in Durrr Burger Kitchen (1) - 24,000 XP

The iconic Durrr Burger restaurant is located just west of Weeping Woods and south of Holly Hedges. Players must enter the Durrr Burger kitchen and dance a jig. Perform any emote in the Durrr Burger kitchen to complete this lighthearted challenge.

Use Firefly Jar at the Pizza Pit (1) - 24,000 XP

The next challenge takes players to Durrr Burger’s rival, Pizza Pit. Players must use a Firefly Jar while inside the Pizza Pit restaurant.

Firefly Jars are created from captured Fireflies. Swarms of Fireflies spawn around the Fortnite island during the times of dusk and dawn. Fireflies usually appear near wooded areas and campfires. Players can interact with these swarms to generate Firefly Jars.

The closest spawn of Fireflies to Pizza Pit can be found at the top of Scenic Spot. Scenic Spot is the massive hill west of Pizza Pit. Scoop up some Fireflies at Scenic Spot and head on down to the Pizza Pit restaurant. Walk inside and toss a firefly Jar to finish the challenge.

Drive from Durrr Burger to Pizza Pit without exiting a vehicle (1) - 24,000 XP

Begin Week 8’s final challenge at Durrr Burger. Start by searching the shed next to the restaurant. Look for Off-Road Tires by destroying tire piles and collect up any Gas Cans you see. Acquiring Off-Road Tires or a pickup truck will make the trek far easier. With your supplies in hand, grab a vehicle from the Durrr Burger parking lot and begin your journey.

Ping Pizza Pit on the map and travel in a straight line to your destination. Avoid any obstacles or enemies along the way. It’s not the most straightforward trip, but it can be completed with a little bit of preparation.

Players can consider completing this challenge in unison with the other Durrr Burger and Pizza Pit challenges. But remember, do not exit the vehicle before you’ve travelled the entire trip, or this one won’t count.
