The most recent season of Fortnite has introduced plenty of new features in the game, alongside the usual Battle Pass and fresh challenges - although many will be wondering when Rocket Racing will be released in the game.

When you first fire up the new season of Fortnite you will be shown a new trailer highlighting some of the new things we can expect before it ends. In there is the much anticipated LEGO event as well as Rocket Racing. Below, we will explain when it will be released in-game as well as everything we know about the mode so far.

Fortnite Rocket Racing release date

The Rocket Racing mode will be introduced on Friday, December 8 10 AM PT. That means it will be dropping within seven days of the new season's release so we won’t have to wait too long.

We don’t know much else about what we can expect from the first season, how long it will remain in Fortnite or if it will just be a temporary game mode. We will be sure to keep this section updated if any new information drops in the buildup to release.

Everything we know about Rocket Racing so far

Rocket Racing is developed by Psyonix, the developers of Rocket League - from the trailer, we can already tell there will be plenty of inspiration from Rocket League with many of the vehicles being the same.

There will also be a relationship between the items in this mode and what you have already earned in Rocket League, as we have seen with the Lamborghini. You can check out the trailer below for a better look at what to expect.

Outside of that, we know very little about the game mode so far. However, popular leaker iFireMonkey has suggested there will be a ranked and standard mode with races. They have also said races will be for 12 players - as always with leaks, take them with a pinch of salt.

I am genuinely really excited for this mode to be introduced, I have always had a soft spot for Fortnite and I love a casual but enjoyable racer. Hopefully, the mode will feel good and be a great way to unwind with some pals.
