Fortnite has had many crossovers and collabs over the years, from Marvel to DC and even John Wick - making it feel like there are truly no limits to what can appear in the game. Now, we can add LEGO to that list, too!

After months of rumours, we finally have some information on when everyone's favourite Danish building blocks will be coming to one of the most popular battle royale games ever made.

When does LEGO mode release in Fortnite?

Fans won't have much longer to wait, as LEGO Fortnite will be released on December 7, 2023 - so you'd better polish off any sets you're working on in real life, as if you're a LEGO fan like me, it'll likely pique your interest for quite some time.

What is LEGO Fortnite?

LEGO Fortnite is said to be a "survival crafting game that lives within Fortnite".

As shared by Epic Games in a blog post, over 1,200 Oufits now have a LEGO Style, and there's a note that gamers can check their Locker "to see if a higher detailed LEGO Style will be added in the future."

Currently, it's said that there will be 317 detailed Outfits, and more will be added over time.

You can watch the action-packed cinematic trailer for LEGO Fortnite here or in the tweet above. It shows off some of the features you can expect, like crafting and building your very own home surrounded by plants.

Towards the end of the trailer, we even get a look at an underground cave-like area that features skeletons and a huge lizard-like creature that looks like it will be some kind of boss fight.

Are there any Fortnite LEGO leaks?

Although we don't have a lot of concrete detail, there is plenty of information available in the form of leaks. As always, it's important to remember that these should be taken with a pinch of salt.

That being said, the leaks so far from the popular HYPEX account and several others, previously pointed towards the LEGO update being released on December 7, which we now know to be true. In terms of what content there could be, it will reportedly come with a host of changes, including:

  • Play as a LEGO character
  • New items:
    • LEGO Stud Gun
    • Workbenches
    • Beds
    • Fences
    • Catapults
    • Ziplines
    • Potions
  • There will be a Creative Mode
  • Changes to crafting and building
  • New emotes
  • New vendors and NPC enemies

What's more, there's even a leak shared by ShiinaBR on X regarding a World Creator. If even half of these leaks turn out to be true, we could be in for one of the very best crossovers in Fortnite so far - and there will no doubt be some fresh skins to pick up from the store too.

That's all there is to know about LEGO appearing in Fortnite so far. As more details are revealed by Epic, we'll update this page with all of the blocky details you'll need to know ahead of the exciting crossover.
