Fortnite Feathers: How To Get Feathers And Unlock Haven's Masks
Fortnite Feathers are a brand-new in-game currency used to unlock style variants for one of Chapter 3 Season 1's premier Battle Pass skins. If you participated in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8, think of Feathers as equivalent to the Rainbow Ink used to unlock Toona Fish styles. As we near the end of Chapter 3 Season 1, the hunt for Fortnite Feathers is about to be at full throttle. Let's go over what Fortnite Feathers are, what they do, and how to get Feathers fast and efficiently.
- The new point of interest — Fortnite Covert Cavern — is a great place to find Fortnite Feathers.
Fortnite Feathers: What Are Feathers?
Fortnite Feathers are a new in-game currency added in the latest update. You can view your current Feather count during a match by opening your inventory and looking under the Currencies section near the top of the screen.
Additionally, your Feather inventory will be displayed on the main lobby menu under Season 1 Resources.
Fortnite Feathers: What Do Feathers Do?
Feathers are used to unlock Haven's Masks. Haven is a Chapter 3 Season 1 Battle Pass skin that comes with a tremendous amount of customisation options. Not only does the outfit itself have multiple style options, but Haven can also equip up to 30 different masks to stand out from the crowd.
However, each of Haven's Masks has a couple of prerequisites to unlock it. Players must complete a related challenge and spend a fixed amount of Fortnite Feathers to purchase a mask style.
For example, catching different types of fish unlocks the cat masks, consuming different Foraged items unlocks the stag masks, and interacting with Fortnite Klombos unlocks the Klombo masks. Once the appropriate Haven Mask quest has been completed, players can purchase it for good with Feathers.
Fortnite Feathers: How To Get Feathers
Fortnite Feathers all come from one single source: Chests. As of now, opening Chests is the only method of collecting Feathers. The chances to find Feathers in the different types of Chests are as follows:
Feathers in standard Chests:
- 1 = 76%
- 2 = 3%
- 3 = 1%
Feathers in IO Chests:
- 1 = 76%
- 2 = 3%
- 3 = 1%
Feathers in Seven Chests:
- 1 = 20%
- 2 = 76%
- 3 = 3%
- 4 = 1%
All in all, normal Chests and IO Chests will award at least one Feather 80% of the time. Seven Chests have a 100% chance to drop one or more Feathers.
Fortnite Feathers: Fastest Way To Collect Feathers
The best and most efficient method of collecting Feathers is through Team Rumble. Unlike your standard playlists, Chests spawn 100% of the time in Team Rumble. This means that Chests and Feathers will be EVERYWHERE. For example, Fortnite Tilted Towers is home to 55 Chests.
Jump into Team Rumble, dive down to a major point of interest (POI), and rush to open as many Chests as possible. Once it appears that all the loot has dried up, leave the match and do it all over again. With this strategy, you'll collect the 440 Feathers needed to unlock all of Haven's Masks in no time.
You are now prepared to begin the hunt for Fortnite Feathers. Hop into battle royale, complete the Haven's Mask quests, gather those Feathers, and unlock all of the Haven's Mask styles before Chapter 3 Season 1 comes to a close on March 19.
