Fortnite Covert Cavern Location: Where Is Covert Cavern?
Click to enlargeCovert Cavern is situated north-east of Camp Cuddle and is hidden within the remnants of what used to be the Pinnacle Peak landmark. From the outside, Covert Cavern appears to be a generic mountain. However, make your way inside and you'll stumble upon an intricate Imagined Order (IO) base loaded with secrets.
There are seven different entrances to Convert Cavern, some busier than others. Consider infiltrating Covert Cavern via the wind tunnels or the waterways if you're looking to stay out of the crowd.
Fortnite Covert Cavern: How To Find And Defeat Gunnar
Click to enlargeFortnite Gunnar is the IO-Brute Boss in charge at Covert Cavern. While Bosses are nothing new to Fortnite, Gunnar may be one of the most powerful Boss enemies yet. Like a typical IO Guard, Gunnar patrols Covert Cavern and will never stay in one place for too long. You'll find Gunnar at different places within Covert Cavern each match.
Looks-wise, Gunnar wears the same armour as IO Guards, but without a helmet. Instead, Gunnar unveils his face with a tan, chiselled jaw and a short blonde haircut.
You won't want to pick a fight with this big-bodied IO Boss until you're fully fit. Gunnar has 650 health and shields, plus an arsenal of attack tools at his disposal. Gunnar comes equipped with a Mythic Stinger SMG, frag grenades, and a Charge Dash attack. As you can see, Gunnar is a menace and will make quick work of any unprepared players.

Fortnite Covert Cavern: How To Get Mythic Gunnar's Stinger SMG
Click to enlargeYou guessed it, Gunnar will drop his Mythic Gunnar's Stinger SMG after defeating him in a firefight. This full-auto SMG has a ridiculously fast rate of fire with high damage to boot. The Fortnite Mythic Gunnar's Stinger SMG is perhaps the best weapon in the game at close to medium-range combat.
There can only be one Mythic Gunnar's Stinger SMG in action at once, so if you can't find Gunnar, it's likely that another player defeated him and already has their hands on this powerful weapon.

Fortnite Covert Cavern: How To Get The Covert Cavern Keycard
Click to enlargeLike the Mythic Gunnar's Stinger SMG, the Covert Cavern Keycard is carried by Gunnar. Defeating Covert Cavern's Boss will award you access to the Covert Cavern Vault. Use the Fortnite Covert Cavern Keycard to open the vault and retrieve all of the top-tier loot inside.
Keycards can't be stored in Tents, so when you get your hands on the Covert Cavern Keycard, make sure to use it and open the vault before leaving Covert Cavern for good.
