Challenges have become a critical part of the Fortnite experience. Challenges offer players a creative and interesting way to earn bundles of XP. Completing challenges is essential for levelling up the Battle Pass and unlocking exclusive skins like Lara Croft and Raven from Teen Titans.

Week 6 sees the return of time trials, plus more fun challenges that will force players to experience interesting remote locations and use Season 6’s new weapons.

Each Week 6 challenge grants a sizable 24,000 XP. Completing all seven Week 6 challenges will grant players a whopping 168,000 XP.

Behind a week or two on challenges? Don’t worry - we have you covered. Check out our Week 5 or Week 4 Challenge Guides if you need help completing any challenges from previous weeks.

Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Challenge Guide below for an in-depth breakdown of every single Week 6 challenge and the best course of action for completing them.

Open Safes (3) - 24,000 XP

Mini vaults are scattered around the Fortnite map, all containing Gold Bars. There are over 45 total Safes on the island, meaning they can be found pretty much everywhere. However, Safes have a spawn rate of less than 50%, so most of them won’t be there every match.

We recommend focusing your efforts on Holly Hedges. Almost all of the houses in Holly Hedges have a Safe inside of them. Search the different rooms in each house for these metal lockboxes. If you’re lucky, you may find the three Safes required for this challenge all in one go.

Complete Bounties (3) - 24,000 XP

Week 6 has Fortnite players take on the role of a bounty hunter. Players must complete three total Bounty missions.

Bounties are basically paid for hits. Players are tasked with eliminating another player. If successful, the killer will receive Gold Bars as a reward. Players can accept Bounties at any of the ten Bounty Boards spread throughout the island.

Team Rumble is ideal for this challenge. In this playlist, players will receive credit for a Bounty even if it is another player that kills your target. Players are constantly dying and respawning in Team Rumble, so it’s possible to complete a bounty on someone without ever lifting a finger. Make sure you don’t personally die though, or the Bounty will reset.

Reference the image below for all ten Bounty Board locations. Grab a Bounty and get to hunting. This challenge will complete after three Bounty missions have been fulfilled.

Reach max shields in different matches (3) - 24,000 XP

This is one of those challenges that players should easily achieve through normal gameplay. All you need to do is reach max shields in three different matches.

Players can obtain Shields through a variety of different sources and methods. Mini Potions, Big Potions, Mushrooms, and Slurp Fish can all raise a players’ shield level. Additionally, standing in the Slurp or destroying Slurp tanks at Slurpy Swamp will increase a players’ shield up to max levels. Finally, competitive players can enter the Arena playlist and reach max shield through the Siphon mechanic.

Reaching max shields just once during a match will give credit toward this challenge. Fill those shields up in three different matches to unlock the 24,000 XP.

Stay within 20m of a player for three seconds while wearing a prop disguise (3) - 24,000 XP

Players can activate A prop disguise through speaking with different non-player characters (NPCs) and paying 75 Gold Bars. The five NPCs that offer this service are Crustina, Raz, Snow Sniper, Jekyll, and Bushranger.

With a prop disguise activated, players will need to get up close and personal with an enemy player. This is most easily done in Team Rumble. Battles get hectic and players aren't really looking out for anyone sitting around in a prop disguise.

Try to sneak up into an active battle with the prop disguise on. When close, stay still and don’t draw any attention. Usually, the enemies will keep battling, paying you no mind. Just sit back and relax while the enemies surround you.

The challenge will complete once an enemy has been within 20 metres of you for three total seconds.

Hit from 50m or greater with a bow (1) - 24,000 XP

This is another challenge that is most easily completed in Team Rumble. The plethora of enemies mixed with the infinite respawns make completing challenges a breeze. Any bow will work for this challenge - Makeshift, Primal, or Mechanical

The best part of this challenge is that you don’t even need to eliminate an enemy with a bow, you just need to hit them once. The ping feature is useful for this challenge, as players can use it to determine how many metres away they are from a target location.

Post up high on a hill or on the roof of a building and fire away with Chapter 2 - Season 6’s powerful bows. Landing one shot at a distance will complete this challenge.

Complete the swimming time trial at Weeping Woods or Coral Castle (1) - 24,000 XP

Land at Coral Castle or Weeping Woods and interact with the hologram timer to start the time trial. Players will then need to complete a lap in the water before the timer runs out.

Follow the course and do your best to avoid any delays. Remember, leaping in the water at the right time will give a short boost of speed. The challenge will complete once you can prove your efficiency in swimming.

If you fail at first, don’t stress it. You can always go back to where the trial started and reset the course.

Visit Fancy View, Rainbow Rentals, and Lockie’s Lighthouse (1) - 24,000 XP

Week 6’s final challenge asks players to visit three unmarked points of interest (POIs) on the map.

Fancy View is a luxurious mansion located on the coastline north-east of Holly Hedges and south-east of Sweaty Sands. Rainbow Rentals is also on the eastern coastline, located south-east of Holly Hedges. Lastly, Lockie’s Lighthouse is located on the miniature island above Coral Castle.

A large portion of Week 6’s challenges are focused on the east side of the island. While travelling to these different POIs, players should consider stopping at Holly Hedges, Weeping Woods and/or Coral Castle to search Safes or complete time trials. In doing so, players could knock out multiple challenges all in the same match.
