Best players in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, from Strikers to Centre-Backs

Having the best Cebtre-Backs, Strikers, Wingers, and any other players in your Ultimate Team in EA FC 24 will help you a lot to secure more victories and climb the ranks. We all have our own personal favourites, but the meta is defined by the best cards - and having a team full of them will certainly make a difference.

Of course, you'll need to spend the coins or be very lucky to have a squad packed full of top players, but getting even a few in the game will up your level - letting you score more goals and hopefully even keep more clean sheets.

Best goalkeepers

Having a good goalkeeper can often be the difference between a win and a loss - yet it is often one of the most overlooked positions. You can reach a point of diminishing returns I find, as you are technically at the mercy of the game - but maximising their strength as much as possible can really make a diffference.

Fullbacks can offer a huge amount to any team, providing both defensive stability and attacking prowess if used correctly. You can even go full tactician and invert a player into your midfield - as many of the top fullbacks are excellent all-round players.

Left backs always seem to be stronger than their right-sided alternatives, and their prices are much more extravagant too. Ferland Mendy is always going to be near the top spot in this category, but whenever I've had the chance to use him he's more than worth the price of entry.

Picking up even one of the best centre-backs can completely change your fortunes, as they'll often do enough to stop attacks on their own. Van Dijk unequivocally stands alone as the best CB in the game though, and you could get by easily with his Gold version, let alone his superjuiced TOTY card.

Best CDMs

• Fantasy Yaya Toure (LaLiga Hero)

While many of the best midfielders overall can operate at CDM, I've decided to opt for out-and-out defensive midfielders and leave the more box-to-box and attacking options for the further advanced positions.

Players like Vieira, Rodri, and Rice are no-brainers when it comes to the position, mopping up any loose balls and bullying the opposition in the middle of the park.

These players can fundamentally do everything and will serve as the heart of your team. From making that last-ditch tackle to popping up in the box to score a late winner, you'll never regret laying out the Coins to pick up one of these players - and it's no surprise that so many of them were part of the TOTY.

• Thunderstruck Neymar Jr (Al Hilal)

CAMs aren't used in every formation, but these players will be the perfect link between your midfield and attack and don't require many of the defensive responsibilities of a standard CM.

You can also use most of the CMs I recommended above, but players like Ronaldinho and Bonmati are just perfect for the advanced role and work that bit better.

Best Left Wingers

As almost the inverse of fullbacks, left wingers are a little bit weaker than those on the right - but many of the best options can indeed be swapped between both sides.

Someone like Vini Jr is always going to be super strong in EA FC - especially if you're good with skill moves - but the best wingers in the game combine pace, dribbling, and finishing to be a menace on the byline and half-spaces.

You've got some really excellent options across the board here, giving you everything you'd ever want from a skilful wide attacker on the right.

Barcelona's Caroline Graham Hansen is by far the best choice - and has been for the game's entire lifespan - but I'd personally opt for Salah as a Liverpool fan, as scoring with him is just a delight.

You'd honestly be fine with just Gold Mbappe as he's still probably the best card in the game (eclipsed only by the Frenchman's better versions), but there's perhaps a little bit more fun in the variety of other options.
