Everybody loves a bit of throwback action, which is why the addition of more historic kits in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team from clubs like Liverpool, Real Madrid, and more is always welcome in my eyes.

Many of these kits remind us of some of each club's most iconic moments, or celebrate their overall success across the years - so having them available for your club in-game is always something to be celebrated - I know I'll be grabbing the Liverpool kit!

What new kits have been added?

  • Club Nacional de Football (1981)
  • PSG (1998/99)
  • NYCFC (2015)
  • Juventus (1983/84)
  • Borussia Dortmund (1975/76)
  • Atletico Madrid (1974/75)
  • Sporting (1924)
  • Chelsea (1986)
  • Liverpool (1995/96)
  • AS Monaco (1999/00)
  • RB Leipzig (2022/23)
  • Fiorentina (1996/97)
  • Benfica (1904)
  • Porto (2004)
  • Real Madrid (2014)
  • Manchester City (1999/2001)
  • Tottenham Hotspur (1995/1997)

These kits encompass some of football's greatest stories across its 100+ year existence, ranging from Benfica's inaugural clobber to RB Leipzig's strip that saw them earn their second-ever DFB Pokal win.

As a Liverpool fan, I am immediately drawn to the 1995/96 kit that you can so vividly picture Fowler and McManaman wearing - even though it is missing the classic collar option.

You certainly can't ignore the 2014 Real Madrid kit that clinched La Decima for the Spanish giants either, as that late Sergio Ramos equaliser is seared into all of our brains - especially if you're an Atleti fan. The same is infinitely true for Porto's iconic Champions League winning kit in 2004 - although it does miss the flavour of Mourinho's unforgettable antics.

I'll never not love Fiorentina's famous purple attire too, especially when emboldened by the greatness of Gabriel Batistuta and his glorious locks up front. It is a shame that it's not the beautiful 98/99 kit complete with the Nintendo sponsor, but we can't have everything I guess!

When can you get the classic kits?

The kits have been released as part of two separate drops, with the first half available from March 29, whereas you can now get the latter nine in the Ultimate Team store from April 5, 2024.

Each kit will set you back 40,000 Coins, but this price is definitely worth paying to represent a bit of footballing history every time you step out on the pitch. Bonus points if you've got an Icon or Hero that fits the team too!
