Destiny 2 Looping Catalyst: How To Beat The Rhulk Challenge
Destiny 2 Looping Catalyst challenge is here, and thankfully it is not a painful one. Destiny 2 has hit us with some difficult challenges in the past, but to complete the Looping Catalyst challenge involves little more than you would normally need to do in the encounter. That said, it doesn’t change the fact that Rhulk is no pushover. To learn what your team needs to do, here is our guide to beating the Rhulk challenge and completing Destiny 2 Looping Catalyst.

Destiny 2 Looping Catalyst: Rules Of The Challenge
As mentioned above, this Looping Catalyst challenge is really quite simple. Completing the encounter normally involves gathering the Leeching Force effect and transferring it to two other players. Then one of those players can be hit by Rhulk’s attack to gain Emanating Force, so that the two players with these force effects can see the matching symbols needed to progress. Find the matching symbol and deposit the Emanating Force into the relevant pillar. Do this a few times, then enter the damage phase to give Rhulk a piece of your mind.
The challenge isn’t concerned with the damage phase of the fight, just the symbol phase. The requirement of the challenge is to complete the encounter having never lost the Leeching Force effect. Normally, you can lose Leeching and still continue the encounter by gaining it again. The challenge requires that your team consistently keep the Leeching Force effect active and never need to reacquire it.

Destiny 2 Looping Catalyst: Strategy For The Challenge
The great thing about this challenge is that it essentially asks players to complete the encounter as efficiently as possible. There are no awkward extra steps so the strategy is quite simple. Do the encounter, and do it well. It isn’t a huge ask for a team that can already pull off this raid effectively, in fact, many would have already been completing the raid in this manner anyway.
There are a couple of ways you can complete the Leeching Force/Emanating Force section, you can go one at a time or double up. Completing it requires six deposits, so you can do it quicker by splitting the Leeching Force twice and doing two at a time. Regardless of which method you employ, just be sure that one of your teammates has Leeching Force at all times to complete the challenge and get your double rewards.
That is everything you need to know to complete the Destiny 2 Looping Catalyst challenge. If you want to learn more about the challenges of the Vow of the Disciple raid, why not check out our Destiny 2 Defenses Down guide.
