Crusader Kings 3 is a popular grand strategy role-playing game, where you take control of a dynasty during the early-Middle Ages, making decisions which influence the realm and characters around you, along with your overall dynasty. Crusader Kings 3 Tours and Tournaments release date
Crusader Kings 3 Tours and Tournaments is confirmed to be launching on May 11, 2023, which is roughly five weeks away as of writing this.
The expansion will only launch for PC on that date, as the console version of the game is much further behind, with the previous expansion Royal Court still not available there.
You can purchase Tours and Tournaments alone for £24.99 ($29.99/€29.99), or as part of the Chapter II pack for £29.50 ($34.99/€34.99), which will feature other smaller DLCs that release over the next few months

An example of the gameplay opportunities presented with the expansion is that you could head off to a grand wedding and leave an ambitious vassal behind to rule the realm and sow chaos behind your back.

- Grand tournaments - Host a demonstration of feats of arms to attract nobles and knights.
- Grand tours - Explore your realm, taking stock of vassals to gift them or extort them with higher taxes.
- Grand weddings - Host an elaborate ceremony for your own wedding, or a family member's wedding, using it to win over vassals and demonstrate your power.
- Travel system - As well as hosting these events, you can be invited to them too. Visit these activities and choose your own route, taking the safer road through civilised lands, or the quick and dangerous route over mountains and through deep forests.
- Knightly accolades - Honour your favourite and most loyal knights with unique titles and special accolades that reward them bonuses.
- New armour designs - A tonne of new historically accurate armours across various centuries have been integrated as part of the tournament and accolades systems.
- New western clothing - A variety of new clothing designs have been added to trace the history of fashion from the start of the Medieval era up until the end.
On top of the above features that are exclusive to the Crusader Kings 3 Tours and Tournaments expansion, there will be a major free update for all owners of the game. We don't know exactly what will be added in the free update that's not part of the expansion but expect some new content regardless.
Crusader Kings 3 Chapter II

In addition to this, you can get the following:
- Wards and Wardens - A new event pack that adds greater depth and more interactions to the system for raising and educating children. You can potentially ruin personal connections, failing to pass on traits to children, or create lifelong bonds that last generations. Set to launch in Q3 of 2023.
- Legacy of Persia - This new flavour pack lets you take part in the struggle for land and power between the Euphrates and Indus. Paying close attention to the history of Medieval Persia, the DLC adds new systems relating to clan governance, the Islamic and Zoroastrian religions, and more. Set to launch in Q4 of 2023.
- Elegance of the Empire - This cosmetic expansion adds the finest clothing, inspired by the historic regalia of the 11th-century rulers of the Holy Roman Empire. Expect new robes and dresses, along with new crowns and more. This is exclusive to the Chapter II bundle, but will be unlocked instantly upon purchase.
It's also worth mentioning that the Chapter II expansion pass bundle has dynamic pricing, so if you purchase Tours and Tournaments first, you can get the whole bundle at a cheaper price later on.
