Things don't always go smoothly for professional assassins, so learning how to heal and restore health in Assassin's Creed Mirage is vital for those moments when you're on the edge of death.

Assassin's Creed games are very much power fantasies, but with Mirage returning to the stealth, action-adventure formula, it's necessary for the player to feel vulnerable during combat or when mistakes are made.

While you can use Skill Points to gain better skills, you're still only ever a few hits away from death in the game. So, check out how restoring health in Assassin's Creed Mirage works.

How to restore your health in Assassin's Creed: Mirage

To heal in Assassin's Creed Mirage, you'll need to either use an elixir or eat food found around Baghdad.

The main way of healing in AC Mirage involves the use of elixirs, a consumable health potion that fully restores your HP when used.

I found these to be particularly useful when running low on health during combat, giving me a second chance to finish the encounter.

You can only carry two elixirs by default, but the Elixir Pocket ability on the Trickster skill tree gives you an additional one.

When you run out of elixirs, there are a few methods to reacquire them: visiting a merchant, pickpocketing an NPC, or finding an ammo chest

Any vendor will sell you elixirs for some Dirham, but blue ammo chests with an open-top (pictured above) can be found plentifully in restricted areas and around guards.

The other method of healing in Assassin's Creed Mirage I found to be more favourable in less intense situations and during exploration; eating food can be done by interacting with berry bushes, or food pots inside buildings and around markets.

You'll only earn a small percentage of health back by eating, but when you don't need an instant refill, it's a much more economical method that doesn't force you to use a limited consumable.

That's all you need to know about how to heal and restore health in Assassin's Creed Mirage, and now you should be able to remain on the mortal plane for much longer.
