Whether or not Apex Legends supports cross-play is hugely important to many fans of the game. Any title as popular as Apex Legends will need these kinds of features, especially with the game having such a huge community on both console and PC.

Apex Legends initially launched on the PS4 and Xbox One generation, but we have since moved into the era of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S after they were released in 2020.

As a result, it's important to be able to play with your friends across different platforms, so you can squad up anytime you want and go hunting for a victory.

So here is all you need to know about whether or not Apex Legends supports crossplay.

Does Apex Legends support cross-platform play?

The good news is yes, Apex Legends does support crossplay, so you can play across platforms with any of your friends regardless of their chosen device. This even includes players on the previous generation of consoles, as well as the Nintendo Switch. 

In order to utilise crossplay in Apex Legends, you will need to dive into the settings and enable the feature. If you're unsure of how to do this, keep reading.

How to enable crossplay in Apex Legends

To enable crossplay in Apex Legends, you'll first need to enable crossplay in the Apex Legends settings menu. After that, to team up with a group of friends, follow these steps:

  • Go to the 'Friends' menu
  • Click 'Find Friend'
  • Type in their EA Public ID
  • They should now appear
  • To make it easier for your friends to find you, enable 'Email Address', 'PSN Online ID', 'Xbox Live Gamertag', and 'Nintendo Nickname' in the 'Allow users to search for me by' menu

Once this setup is complete, you should now be able to group up with players from other platforms.
