The devil works hard, but Nintendo fans work harder. The upcoming sequel to Breath of the Wild - the long-awaited Tears of the Kingdom - recently got 10 minutes of illuminating gameplay footage, and as expected, fans are already picking it apart to discern everything they can about the game.

It's hard to blame them, as its predecessor proved itself to be the finest experience on the Nintendo Switch, but damn, guys. It's only a month away now, you don't have to do this. Naturally, players are going bonkers piecing each morsel of information together - and they think they've already locked down the game's map.

Fans have built the Tears of the Kingdom map

Wasting absolutely no time in developing a better view of revamped Hyrule, fans have come together to create a top-down map view of the playable area in Tears of the Kingdom before they even have the chance to actually play it.

Sharing in the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit, players have rallied to develop a map of the new game, featuring screencaps of the gameplay teaser that we recently saw released on the Nintendo YouTube channels. They've been pointing out where on this map they took place.

It must have taken an absurd amount of time to map out these locations from their backgrounds and compare them to the existing map of Breath of the Wild, but then again, it's hard to expect any less of Zelda fans.

Fans discuss the size of Tears of the Kingdom's floating isles

A core change to the Tears of the Kingdom map is, of course, the giant floating islands that have erupted from the ground of Hyrule. Fans are using this map to help ease their worries about their involvement.

"People are really underestimating the breadth of the sky islands," reads the post's top comment, which has got a lot of other fans talking. "I was definitely worried they'd be too small before seeing this image," replied another fan. "Really puts them into perspective and eases a lot of my worries."

It looks like there's plenty for us to look forward to in Tears of the Kingdom, and this new map is going to help us envision the action that awaits us in Hyrule. Though we probably could have just waited for it.
