Warzone Vehicles Have Been Disabled Following Game-Breaking Glitch

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare players are rightly annoyed by a game-breaking Warzone glitch that has screwed things up in Season 5. As it stands, Infinity Ward has pulled all vehicles from Warzone to prevent the game from crashing. Unlike most exploits, this one didn't have an actual advantage and simply caused the whole game to crash when driving vehicles out of bounds.

Normally, driving out of bounds would trigger the "return to combat area" warning and a countdown giving you a chance to get back into the game. Leaving the arena at a specific point will cause the timer to freeze. Although you'll still be able to drive around, you won't be able to leave your vehicle or do much else. Worse than this, the game will end shortly after. Not just for you, but the game will end for everyone.

With Warzone vehicles affecting everyone's game, it's no surprise Infinity Ward has taken swift action and pulled them all from the battle royale title. Even though this will affect the entirety of Warzone, it makes sense that the devs have temporarily disabled them.

The Warzone vehicles bug has also skewed the integrity of the game as players who felt they were about to lose could purposefully crash a match and return everyone to the lobby. Infinity Ward rolled out the massive Season 5 Reloaded update last month. As well as blowing the roof off the Verdansk stadium and queuing up the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Reloaded added new modes and weapons alongside the Games Of Summer Limited Time Event - which ends today (September 7).

When it comes to Cold War, everyone is looking ahead to the multiplayer reveal on September 9. The game's official trailer had a snippet of multiplayer action at the very end and showed off buggies driving through a rocky desert.

Cars and vehicles have been disabled in Warzone before, however, it was never on as serious a level as causing the whole game to crash. Unsurprisingly, it's expected to be a pretty substantial fix and Infinity Ward hasn't given an update on when vehicles are back. Until vehicles are returned to their former Warzone glory, it looks like you'll have to walk the map on foot.
