Riot Games VALORANT is set to officially launch on June 2nd 2020. The closed beta will conclude on May 28th, to make way for the full release of the game, and give the Riot team time to reset player accounts, patch new content, and prepare for VALORANT's worldwide launch.

Once VALORANT is fully live, fans will start fresh, progressing from a new beginning as they compete in the 5v5 FPS.

“Our goal has always been to bring VALORANT to as much of the world as soon as possible, so we're hyped to be able to do so on June 2, the team looks forward to starting our decades-long commitment to servicing the global VALORANT community. This is just the beginning of our journey together." - Anna Donlon, Executive Producer of VALORANT at Riot Games.

The full version of VALORANT will launch new game content, including a new game mode, brand new Agent and new map at release, as well as several new serve locations, including London, Atlanta, Dallas, and Madrid.

The New Map

According to leaks, the new Map could very well be 'Ascent', a Venice-themed map with two bomb sites, first noticed in a Riot Dev Diaries video as a mini-map.

The New Game Mode

As reported by GGRecon, and leaked by @PlayerIGN, the new game mode rumoured to be added is named 'Orb'.

As for the objective of this mode, it looks to be Team Deathmatch or Domination style, based on the icons such as 'speed boost shoe', 'weapon upgrade' and 'health regen'.

The New Agent

Several Agents of VALORANT have been leaked, including Joule, Killjoy & more. Any one of these Agents could be the next addition, but given the amount of datamined info relating to Killjoy, he appears to be the first choice. Killjoy's abilities revolve around offensive capabilities, or perhaps tracking, given the presence of "bots".

The closed beta was more than successful, and since it's launch on April 7th it broke Twitch’s viewing records with 1.7 million concurrents.

No news yet on whether or not this full release will also be a port to console.
