The VALORANT esports community goes hard. That much was always evident by the way the Champions crowdfunding bundle is lapped up every single year, most recently surpassing the whopping $40 million mark in 2023, with half of it going to qualified teams.

So with the emergence of the VCT Capsules, allowing players around the world to sport their beloved esports teams' colours, the same impact has already been felt.

After nearly two weeks in rotation, the VALORANT Esports Capsules have been flying off the shelves, and Riot has detailed that they're outperforming their wildest dreams.

Even with the Champions Bundle serving as a benchmark, Riot Games' Head of VALORANT Esports, Leo Faria, has said that the reception of the team-based bundles has exceeded all expectations.

"We’re giving fans the opportunity to support their teams and their favourite pros, and the reception has been amazing," Faria said in a recent edition of the Spark Tank, a Riot Games-hosted VALORANT talk show for the Americas region.

"Some of these teams have already beat their minimum guarantee for the entire year in two weeks, so very excited," he added.

VCT Capsule Rankings are coming soon

The esports bundles have been hotly contested even between professionals, with Team Heretics sporting "Buy Heretics Skins Please" on their jerseys, and KOI and Karmine clashing over some extraordinary usage of bad manners with the Classic.

Soon though, VALORANT will be publicising who the most popular teams in the world are, as Faria has also confirmed that they will be releasing rankings for all of the leagues "very soon", which will "spark some fun competition".

As to who the most popular teams already are, guesses have been lodged towards Paper Rex and 100 Thieves, while NRG, Karmine Corp, and Sentinels could also be front runners.
