Season 19 of Apex Legends brought a huge amount of new content to the game, but there's no denying that Conduit was the standout arrival.

Capable of restoring allies' shields with her Tactical, the Support has become an immensely popular and strong pick in the Ranked and pubs meta.

As a result, all eyes have been on Year 4 of the ALGS, as players were curious whether she'd make a big impact on the pro scene.

Well, TSM's coach Raven has made his opinion on the matter very clear, arguing Conduit is a "horrible" character in the ALGS.

TSM Raven explains why Conduit is "horrible" in the ALGS

The primary argument for picking Conduit in the ALGS is that she offers a squad more uptime in fights as she can restore shields with the click of a button - as long as the ally is not taking damage.

Raven argues that uptime in fights can be achieved through other means, including better armours, mags, scopes, and even having more shield batteries.

Not only that, a battery takes six seconds to pop, whereas waiting for Conduit's Tactical to restore full shields takes around 10 seconds. In his opinion, this extra 4 seconds of uptime is significant.

There is an argument from some players that Conduit is strong if you're starting at a lower-tier POI with less loot. Raven responds to this by claiming that if you're landing at a bad location, you probably aren't going to win LAN - so there's no point in TSM even considering using her.

What's Conduit's overall pick rate in Apex Legends?

Of course, just because Raven argues Conduit is bad in the ALGS, doesn't mean she's a poor character as a whole. The Shield Healer can be incredibly valuable in the chaotic gunfights of pubs and Ranked, where competitors are more likely to miss shots.

Her power is reflected in her pick rate, which currently sits at an impressive 8.2% in Season 19, making her the third most popular Legend in the game according to Apex Legends Status.

While Raven isn't impressed with Conduit, it'll be interesting to see how many other teams disagree as we head towards the first LAN event of the year.
