The Miller brothers are reuniting on the small screen, as HBO Max's The Last of Us series continues shaping up to be our next big TV addiction. While a Last of Us movie took a golf club to the head, the idea evolved into a TV series that will helmed by Chernobyl's Craig Mazin.

Something as grand as The Last of Us was always going to need an A-list cast, and thankfully, we found one in the form of Game of Thrones alumni Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal. Also along for the ride are Fringe's Anna Torv as Joel's love interest, as well as returning game voice actors Merle Dandridge and Jeffrey Pierce. Completing the cast is Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Gabriel Luna as Tommy Miller

What Does Tommy Look Like In The Last Of Us?

Aside from the first official look at the series, there's been a slow trickle of photos and videos from the top-secret set in Canada. After seeing Ellie and Joel in action, we now get to see Luna as Joel's younger brother.

Even though we don't get to see Tommy get up to much, it's our first proper look at Luna in the role. In the games, Tommy is usually depicted as more of a Brad Pitt/Gerard Butler lookalike. However, we've got to admit the casting department has nailed the family resemblance between Luna and Pascal.

The set photos show that the town filming is taking place in has been transformed into Jackson. Following the story of the 2013 game, things really take a turn when Ellie and Joel reach Jackson. It's here that Joel is reunited with his long-lost brother.

What Else Is Going On With The Last Of Us?

For those who've played the games, you'll know Tommy has a major part to play in both The Last of Us and its 2020 sequel. Presuming The Last of Us will be as big of a hit as we're expecting, Luna could be sticking around for a while alongside Pascal and Ramsey.

Of course, there's an elephant in the room here. For many, Pierce was the perfect choice to play Tommy in the games. There was plenty of excitement he'd be joining the live-action series, but sadly, it's in a brand-new role. Although Dandridge gets to reprise her role as Firefly leader Marlene, Pierce plays a brand-new creation called Perry.

Pierce has praised The Last of Us scripts as being breathtaking, which is presumably to do with the fact Game Director Neil Druckmann is a major part of the series as an Executive Producer. Added to this, Druckmann recently wrapped filming as Director on his own episode of the first season. There's still no concrete release date, but The Last of Us is due to hit HBO Max in 2022.
