Got buns, hun? While we know we shouldn't be drawn to bad guys and girls, there's something about them we just can't help. From the sultry Ada Wong of Resident Evil to Poison Ivy of Rocksteady's Arkham games, Pyramid Head and his nerfed ass or Final Fantasy's Sephiroth, we love 'em all.

Search any list of "sexiest video game villains," and we guarantee The Legend of Zelda's Ganodorf will be there somewhere. The demonic Ganon has been a mainstay of video games since the first Zelda in 1986, although he didn't appear in his humanoid "Ganondorf" form until Ocarina of Time.

Tears of the Kingdom brings back 'sexy' Ganondorf

Having appeared in most Zelda games and being bested every time - including 2017's Breath of the Wild - it was no big surprise when the latest trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom confirmed the return of Ganondorf.

We saw Ganondorf's corpse in the first Tears teaser, but now, we've got "rehydrated Ganondorf" in the final trailer. It looks like he's been rehydrated because players can't stop salivating all over him. Nintendo presumably didn't realise it would have to send its fans to horny jail with Ganondorf.

Sporting a chest that Henry Cavill would be jealous of, Ganondorf has definitely been working out. Well, coming back from the dead will do wonders for your motivation.

The Twittervere was soon flooded with thirsty tweets honouring the conniving King of the Gerudo. One said, "Why is he so THICK," while another added, "I can't believe I'm going to say this but damn evil has never looked more handsome.." A third said, "Looking forward to some Ganondorf Rule 34 art," over on Reddit.

Others joked, "Y’all simping for Ganondorf bruh, get yo ass to horny jail immediately," and, "I did not have Ganondorf as thirst trap on my 2023 bingo card." A sixth simply concluded, "I am now a Ganondorfsexual."

What is Ganondorf's role in Tears of the Kingdom?

There were wild theories that Ganondorf could be the protagonist of Tears, but as the final trailer shows, this is good ol' villain Ganondorf. After being stabbed with the Master Sword, he's back to full power in this Breath of the Wild sequel and seems to be corrupting Link, the mythical blade, and all of Hyrule.

It looks like Tears will be a much darker game than Breath of the Wild, leading us to hope it'll be like the grim second act of Ocarina. There's a revamped version of the iconic Ganondorf's theme, and while Link is still the MVP, Ganondorf is set for an expanded role with more to say.

Resident Evil 6's Matthew Mercer has announced he'll be voicing Ganondorf, and with him saying, "Do not look away. You witness a king's revival…and the birth of his new world," we're definitely intrigued.  Whatever Ganondorf is up to, he's sprung a thirst trap on us all.
