Lando Norris is no stranger to getting out from behind the wheel of his 220mph McLaren Formula 1 car to take to streaming on Twitch, specifically trying his trade on the likes of Call of Duty and a variety of racing titles.

Who Is Lando Norris?

Ranked in fifth place in the Formula 1 2021 standings, Norris has risen to fame in the racing world, landing a handful of podium finishes as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen jostle for the gold and silver medals. However, he's also become a prominent figure on the internet and within esports, launching his own organisation called "Quadrant" in 2020, focusing on content creation and apparel.

Despite Quadrant not yet launching any esports teams, amid interest in Rocket League specifically, Lando himself can often be found coursing through circuits on his incredible sim-racing set up before appearing on podcasts for his brand.

Now, he's been challenged to an official showdown race on Twitch by streamer Jaryd "Summit1g" Lazar, taking place on iRacing.

What Has Summit1g Said To Lando Norris?

Summit1g, often known for his shenanigans on titles like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Sea of Thieves, and GTA V, has recently been flying around the courses on iRacing, and has now called out Norris to take him on.

Speaking on stream, the content creator said, "I'm confident enough in my MX5 game that if Lando Norris came to the track, only had five minutes to practice, that i'd beat him in five laps or so."

After being quizzed by his Twitch chat, Summit1g continued to qustion Norris' raw skill, saying, "Is he that insane? He's on that level? God Level? Impossible to beat? Five minutes on this track that I've spent a weej ok on, you don't think I can't beat him over five laps?"

"Where is he man?", he added.

Just two races are left in Norris' F1 calendar, including the Saudi Arabian and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix's, seeing the year end on December 12. Maybe then we will see Norris take on Lazar, after securing his place as the fifth-fastest driver on the planet.
